Recognition Event
Each year, the District honours individuals who make Wellington Catholic a wonderful place to learn and work. During the recent Faculty, Staff and Volunteer Recognition Event at the River Run Centre, awards were presented to those who were nominated by their peers for their exemplary work.
March for Life
High school students from Lourdes and Bishop Macdonell spent the day in Ottawa this month to support the March for Life Campaign.
Young Authors Contest Winner for Non-Fiction
Justin, a St. Paul School student pictured here, wins the English Catholic Teacher’s Young Authors provincial contest in the non-fiction category. A student from St. Joseph, Fergus also emerged the winner in the fiction category.
Gold Medal Winner
Lourdes student, Mark, recently wins gold. As the machinist winner of the provincial Skills Canada Competition, he will continue to compete at the national level in Edmonton. Spencer, another Lourdes student, won a bronze medal in the competition for Computer Aided Manufacturing.

Special Olympics Track & Field Event
This year marks the 11th Anniversary of the Special Olympics Track & Field Event. Volunteers from both Wellington Catholic and the Upper Grand District School Board will once again come together on Wednesday, May 23rd to help with a fun day of track and field and adaptive events.
